QuickNET provides greater access to QuickCOM by allowing
authorization network users to send and receive QuickCOM
messages. QuickNET employs all the features and benefits
expected from a Windows application. With QuickNETusers can
easily receive QuickCOM messages or create and send messages
to any of the LED message boards, VGA monitors, pagers or workstations
supported by QuickCOM.
While attached to the network, QuickCOM remains available
for inputs from other sources such as mainframes, minicomputers,
and automatic call distribution systems. Information automatically
generated from QuickCOM such as ACD statistics, system status,
ad hoc and motivational messages may be routed to any display or
QuickNET workstation.
QuickNET operates as a local or server based application
on Ethernet or Token Ring networks. TCP/IP or Novell's SPX protocols
are used to communicate with the QuickCOM system. Both TCP/IP
and SPX protocols support error checking features ensuring message
delivery.
