The QuickTAPE Tape Mount Display System is a productivity and management tool which enables your operators to easily and accurately check tape status information from almost any point in the operations center. The QuickTAPE system increases the productivity of tape handling operations personnel by providing specific color coded tape mount instructions on large QuickTAPE Panel Displays located in the tape drive area. This eliminates the need for operators to move back and forth from a central message console to receive tape mount instructions. In addition to tape mounting information, the system highlights error conditions and informs operators if the tape to be mounted has been recently used on a particular drive. The operator can then check that drive or re-file bin before going to the library. The QuickTAPE system also provides comprehensive management reports on the tape system, including operator and robotic performance.
