DLT TAPE CLEANER

Description:

Digital Linear Tape cartridges, like all magnetic media, require periodic cleaning and retensioning. The new DLT.com Conditioner removes surface debris and dust which interferes with proper head/tape contact. The machine accepts all DLT tape cartridges, including the newer 8000 series drives.

Cleaning Method:

The machine uses a unique cassette tissue* to remove contamination from both the oxide surface and the back surface. An ionized element eliminates static electricity. These two methods clean, recondition and improve the cartridges. The tissue cassette cleans approximately 1000 DLT cartridges.

Retensioning Method:

The machine drive exactly duplicates the tape drive used in your library. Winding and rewinding the tape in one continuous pass restores the cartridge tension in its original condition.
